Street Smart

So I was walking down the street, a tad on the tipsy side, and I stumbled upon this discarded sign. Constructed out of cardboard and marker, I assume it was a homeless dude that crafted this clever little sign. If that bum was actually with his sign, I would've had to give him a dollar.

Party Drank

So I've seriously been lacking anything worth posting in the last almost month. That's pathetic. People need to start keepin' it realer. Universities need to start keepin' it real and get rid of exams, and test us on how hard we can party. I'd probably excel at that. Speaking of partying, this is probably the realest thing I've come across in a while. I call it "Party Drank" and I've included the recipe.

Party Drank (a bricktangle creation)

Ingredients:

Leftover pot of coffee from the morning

Simple sizzurp

Booze, preferably some Sailor Jerry's

Fuck ton of ice

Get a tall glass, fill it up sufficiently with ice, fill the glass halfway (atleast) with rum, fill the rest of the glass with coffee, add the simple sizzurp to your desired sweetness, and stir until mixed and cold. Stick a straw in that, just so you can pull it out and drop it on the floor like you should always do in a bar, and enjoy. Have like 4 of these, put on the Trentemoeller remix of Royskopp's What Else Is There, and you'll be ready to party hard.

For Reals.

Really Entertaining

Probably one of the funniest things I've viewed in a while. I couldn't stop laughing while I watched this, and its just as funny after and even on the 10th time viewing it.

The Real Simon Legault

So I had to make a short documentary-style film for my video class, and my first idea didn't turn out so well, so this is what I did instead and I'm pretty stoked on the results. Its totally fictional, although it was supposed to be a real person. Well, in all actuality, both people in the video keep it pretty real. So mad respect to both Dave and Tyler for helping me out. And I gotta give credit to Peachhat for the credits cuz I borrowed his idea for them. It was pretty sick and the prof loved it.

Enjoy.

A KiD Named CuDi

So I'm not too sure if everyone knows about this guy already, as he was featured twice on Kanye's 808s & Heartbreak, or from his single Day 'n' Nite, but he deserves to be listened to. So if you haven't heard his work already, check out his mixed tape. It's called A KiD Named CuDi and it's a pretty awesome listen. He's releasing a debute album sometime in the summer. I'll be looking forward to it.

Real Talk.

This is a link to his free mixed tape: http://www.10deep.com/KIDCUDIMIXTAPE/

The KiD CuDi vs. Crookers mix Day 'n' Nite official video. It is definitely worth a watch. Some serious talent in the one. I'm serious struggling right now and can't get the embedding to work so just check out the links.

Real Text

It's a well known fact that Hip-hop artists are frequently trying to Keep It Real. They'll make reference to how gangsta they are, or even making up new words to represent their true realness ("Trill"). A classic example of Keepin' It Real was displayed recently by NORE on Jimmy Kimmel's show, while performing with Toronto-based MSTRKRFT. NORE actually checked his text messages while in the middle of performing. That is mind blowing realness right there. Jimmy Kimmel wasn't too impressed though.

Check it.

ya shit gon be on fire but it work

So a friend recently had a status update on facebook concerned with the personal hygiene issues of today's male snowboarding youth. She raises a valid point. So does Ghostface Killa. Check it out.

Shamrock Day?

What the fuck is Shamrock Day you ask? Well, it's apparently what some people want to call St. Patrick's Day. Now, I have a bit of Irish in my bloodline I suppose, but I'm by no means Irish. Nor am I a huge fan of St. Patrick's Day, although it is an excuse to drink so how could I not appreciate it? Apparently the title St. Patrick's Day is offensive to some, therefore it should be called Shamrock Day, so everyone can celebrate celtic heritage. Seriously though, who celebrates a cultural heritage by drinking food colouring and beer and irish car bombs all day? It's St. Patrick's Day. Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

The First 'Real' Real Talk Post

Alright, so here it is. The very first Real Talk post. Now its the first real Real Talk post for a few reasons. The first being that, apparently, my virgin blog post was deflowered by some ninja hijacker. The second reason being that there are a few other blogs on this world wide web, and more specifically within this blogging community claiming to be a blog about their philosophical view of "Real Talk", but really failing to stay true to the ideology of just keepin' it mothafuckin' real!! So basically that's whats going down here. Just call me the President of Keepin' IT Real.

Now that's Real Talk.

Sincerely,

The President
